Vistara Path helps international students check public sponsor-signal data, tailor resumes, generate cover letters, and share optional product feedback. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it.
Information We Collect
- Email addresses submitted through product forms or account creation.
- Account sign-in information handled by Firebase Auth.
- Resume and job-description text you submit to generate a tailored result.
- Optional Resume Vault text if you choose to save a resume for reuse.
- Optional product feedback, ratings, school or organization name, anonymous pilot-report permission, and permission-to-quote choices submitted after completing the workflow.
- Basic analytics events, such as page visits and CTA clicks.
How We Use Information
We use information to provide Sponsor Signal, resume tailoring, cover-letter generation, interview-answer generation, GPT-5.6 application decision briefs, product updates, improve product quality, and understand which parts of the site are useful.
Resume Data
Resume text is processed to generate tailored outputs, cover letters, interview answers, revision responses, and application decision briefs. You may also choose to save a resume in your private Resume Vault for reuse. Resume Vault is optional, tied to your signed-in account, and deletable. We do not sell resume data, and Vistara Path does not use submitted resumes to train its own model. Avoid submitting sensitive personal information that is not needed for a resume.
AI Processing
When you request resume tailoring, resume revision, cover-letter generation, interview-answer generation, or a GPT-5.6 application decision brief, Vistara Path sends the relevant resume text, job-description text, sponsor-signal context, OPT timing context when provided, and user instructions to third-party AI providers, including Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, and OpenAI, so they can generate or review the requested output. These providers may process and retain data according to their own API terms, safety, abuse-monitoring, and service-operation policies. Vistara Path configures the OpenAI application-decision workflow with response storage disabled where supported, and OpenAI states that API inputs and outputs are not used for model training by default unless an organization explicitly opts in. Do not submit Social Security numbers, passport numbers, financial account data, medical information, or any sensitive personal data that is not needed for a job application document.
Sponsor Signal Data
Sponsor Signal uses public U.S. Department of Labor OFLC H-1B LCA disclosure records. LCA records are historical labor-condition filings and are not a guarantee that an employer currently sponsors, will sponsor a specific applicant, or will sponsor a specific role.
Product Feedback
Feedback is stored with the submitting account and date so we can improve the product. If you grant pilot-report permission, Vistara Path may use your feedback in anonymous or aggregate reports shared with schools or advisors. We will only quote feedback publicly with your first name when you separately grant public quote permission in the feedback form. We do not share your resume, email, job details, or full name in pilot reports.
Third-Party Services
We use services such as Firebase, Google Analytics, Resend, Anthropic Claude, Google Gemini, and OpenAI to run authentication, analytics, hosting, database, email, AI-generation, AI-review, and application-decision workflows.
