Check if the employer is worth researching.
Use historical sponsor data as an early signal before investing time in a role.
Visa-aware job search for F-1 OPT students and DSO offices
Vistara Path is an application intelligence engine for F-1 students and a verification-first support tool for DSO and career offices. It connects six signals in one workflow: sponsor history, resume fit, live job discovery, OPT/STEM timing, CPT caution, application quality, and private outcome tracking.
Built for students and DSO offices. Students prepare clearer questions before they meet the school; DSO and career teams can inspect the same source-aware guidance, see what the app did and did not answer, and keep school-specific decisions with the school. Application templates still support general, finance, technical, consulting, and creative roles.
Historical public data only. No legal advice. No fake licenses. No invented jobs. Stronger wording from real experience.
Help every international student on OPT land their first U.S. job before the clock runs out.
Structured like a career operating system
The product story is intentionally simple: decide where to spend time, tailor with context, review the AI output, and save the company thread for follow-up.
Use historical sponsor data as an early signal before investing time in a role.
Keep urgency, E-Verify reminders, and visa-aware language close to the application.
Use one profile and one job description so the application package stays aligned.
Keep status, next action, follow-up date, and notes in one private place.
Career intelligence for international students
Sponsor databases show what happened before. Resume tools rewrite documents. Vistara Path connects the full F-1 job-search decision: where to look, whether the employer is worth checking, how the resume fits, what to send, and what happened after applying.
Historical DOL and USCIS context helps students research employer sponsorship patterns before spending time on a role.
A saved resume profile identifies role lanes, skill signals, template direction, profile graph and skill-gap mapping without asking for private immigration documents.
Employer-feed job discovery starts from the resume first, then lets students explore broader roles when the best matches are limited.
ATS alignment, resume tailoring, cover letter, why-company answer, GPT-5.6 decision brief, and interview prep work from the same role context.
Private application threads help students record status, follow-up dates, interviews, offers, and hired outcomes so the workflow can learn what is working.
Product walkthrough
A quick walkthrough of the live flow: save your profile and resume, get resume-matched employer-feed job targets, review sponsor-aware context, tailor an AI-assisted resume package, generate application materials, and save the company thread for follow-up.
Demo uses public employer-feed postings and public DOL/USCIS sponsor data. Historical signal only. Not legal advice or sponsorship guarantee.
Vistara Path checks U.S.-focused public employer career feeds, then ranks roles with visible match reasons.
Each search connects live postings with historical sponsor signal, USCIS petition context where available, and OPT-aware reminders.
AI rewrites only supported experience, explains ATS alignment, and keeps the resume grounded in the original profile.
The user can ask AI for specific resume revisions, generate a matching cover letter, prepare a “Why this company?” answer, and save or delete the company thread with status, next action, and notes.
F-1 OPT students have limited unemployment days. Every application should be focused, readable, and aligned before it leaves your laptop.
The visa-aware moat
Generic resume tools stop at formatting and keywords. Vistara Path starts earlier: should you spend time on this employer, how urgent is your OPT clock, and what visa-aware context should you verify before applying?
Track your OPT start/end dates and unemployment-day buffer so the app can help prioritize higher-signal employers when time gets tight.
See reminders around E-Verify, Form I-983 training-plan requirements, and why STEM OPT roles need extra employer verification.
Use DOL LCA records and USCIS petition-outcome context as historical signals before tailoring for a company.
Flag when employer verification matters, especially for STEM OPT planning. The app reminds users to verify the exact employer policy.
Use truthful wording like “authorized to work in the U.S. on F-1 OPT” without letting AI invent visa claims or legal promises.
Get a clear warning that CPT should not be treated as available just because an internship exists. Practical training must be tied to the established curriculum and authorized by the DSO before work starts.
Student + DSO workflow
Vistara Path handles preparation, triage, and source-backed explanations before the advising conversation. Students arrive with cleaner context and exact questions, while school-specific authorization, SEVIS decisions, and personal immigration judgment stay with the authorized school office or qualified legal advisor.
Check CPT, OPT, STEM OPT, employer type, job fit, and urgency before sending applications. The app explains what looks possible, what looks risky, and what to ask the DSO before acting.
Review the student's generated question list, source-health status, and risk flags. Vistara separates career guidance from school authorization, SEVIS decisions, and legal advice.
A daily Visa-Aware Guidance Monitor checks official F-1 guidance from USCIS, ICE SEVP, DHS Study in the States, the Federal Register, and CPT-specific SEVP broadcasts.
Mission and vision
Vistara Path is a visa-aware job search decision platform built for F-1 OPT students - the most time-pressured job seekers in America. We check historical sponsor signal, take your resume and a job posting, and return a job-specific application package with before and after ATS alignment scores, built for the actual role, not a generic template.
We understand OPT timelines, STEM OPT planning, E-Verify checks, cap-exempt employer clues, work authorization disclosures, curriculum-required CPT caution, and how to translate international experience into U.S. job language - because no general resume tool does.
Built by Sachin Patel as a founder-led product for the international-student job search problem: sponsor uncertainty, ATS alignment, and time-limited OPT applications.
Live application workspace
After tailoring, Vistara Path lets students keep the whole application mission together: sponsor context, ATS explanation, tailored resume, cover letter, interview answer, status, follow-up date, next action, and private notes.
Users can type a specific change request, like fixing a date, strengthening the summary, or removing unsupported wording. The AI revises the current resume while staying grounded in the original resume.
Each saved application can keep the company name, role, sponsor signal, ATS score, tailored resume, cover letter, “Why this company?” answer, current status, next action, and private notes.
The workspace helps students continue from the next step instead of starting over. It does not auto-submit applications or replace student judgment.
Sponsor Signal
Search public U.S. DOL H-1B LCA disclosure records, add your OPT/STEM OPT timeline, review USCIS FY2023 petition-outcome context where available, then tailor your resume for that employer in one flow. LCA records and petition history are historical signals, not a guarantee that an employer will sponsor a specific role.
Sponsor Signal is live now. It helps international students answer a practical question before spending time on an application: has this employer appeared in historical H-1B sponsor-related data?
Example lookup from public DOL data
Use the signal to decide whether the employer is worth researching, then paste the live job posting for final resume tailoring.
Try Sponsor SignalPublic proof
The signed-in app currently checks U.S.-focused public employer career feeds, loads public-data sponsor indexes, and renders the visa-aware workflow in JavaScript. The landing page shows source freshness in plain language without sending students or DSO offices away to raw data files.
Visa-aware workflow
Start with employer signal and your OPT timeline, then tailor only when the role is worth serious effort.
Search Sponsor Signal to review historical H-1B activity, USCIS petition context, employer category, and signal quality.
Enter OPT dates, unemployment days, and STEM OPT planning status so the app can show application priority.
Upload or paste your resume and job post, then get a tailored resume, cover letter, and ATS alignment explanation.
Review suggested changes, accept what is useful, refine what needs adjustment, and reject changes that do not fit your real background.
Store the company thread with resume version, cover letter, why-company answer, application status, follow-up date, next action, and private notes.
Come back later and see what you were applying for, what you generated, and what the next move should be.
Why OPT students
Most resume tools are built for broad job seekers. OPT students need sponsor research, timeline awareness, truthful work-authorization wording, and role alignment without risky claims that can fall apart in interviews.

Use Sponsor SignalProduct direction
The live product is focused on sponsor signal, OPT/STEM planning, resume tailoring, and application tracking. The items below are not live today. They are future directions that will be added only when they make the international-student workflow stronger.
Your resume, cover letter, and “Why this company?” answer work together from the same real profile and job description. One company mission. One aligned package. Ready for human review before you send.
Built for the next pilot wave
The page now tells the same story we pitch to universities: Vistara Path is not just a resume tool. It is a visa-aware job-search workspace with privacy, disclaimers, and permissioned feedback built in.
FAQ
No. It can translate your real experience into stronger job-aligned wording, but it should not create fake jobs, licenses, certifications, dates, tools, or metrics.
No. A realistic score depends on the job post and your actual background. If a job requires insurance licensing or Series registrations, the app should not claim those unless you have them.
The app targets a full one-page US Letter resume and uses compact print styling. Very long original resumes may still need judgment, but the output is designed to stay one page.
Sponsor Signal does not require a resume upload. For tailoring, you can process a resume for the current request or choose to save it in your private Resume Vault. Resume Vault is optional, tied to your signed-in account, and deletable.
